Upon arrival at Sri Lanka’s airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Negombo.

After some time to refresh, explore Negombo with a city tour featuring the Negombo Fish Market, St. Mary’s Church and Dutch Canal. Enjoy the city’s beautiful ocean and lagoon surroundings, famous seafood and vibrant atmosphere.

Relax on the beach and enjoy your first evening in Sri Lanka.

Overnight: Sigiriya

After breakfast, travel towards the cultural heart of Sri Lanka.

Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where visitors can observe elephants being cared for, fed and bathed.

Continue to experience an authentic Sigiriya Village Tour, including a traditional bullock-cart ride through village paths and paddy fields, a catamaran boat ride, a visit to a local home and an introduction to traditional Sri Lankan cooking and food.

Later, enjoy a hike at Pidurangala Rock for spectacular views of the surrounding landscape and Sigiriya Rock.

Overnight: Sigiriya

After breakfast, proceed to Polonnaruwa Ancient City, the former medieval capital of Sri Lanka.

Explore the historic ruins, stupas, ancient irrigation systems, Watadage, Gal Viharaya and the Nissankamalla Council Chamber.

Continue with an optional visit to Ritigala Monastery, featuring an atmospheric forest hike through the ruins of an ancient Buddhist monastery.

Later, visit Kandalama Lake and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Overnight in Sigiriya.

Overnight: Trincomalee

After breakfast, travel towards the east coast.

On the way, stop at Kantale Tank, an historic irrigation reservoir surrounded by beautiful scenery and birdlife.

Continue to Kanniya Hot Springs, famous for its seven natural hot-water wells.

Visit the spectacular Koneswaram Hindu Temple, located on Swami Rock overlooking the Indian Ocean.

After breakfast, proceed towards the cultural capital of Sri Lanka, Kandy.

Travel through the spectacular central highlands towards Nuwara Eliya.

Stop at Ramboda Falls, followed by a visit to a traditional Ceylon Tea Plantation and Tea Factory to discover Sri Lanka’s world-famous tea industry.

Continue to Bomburu Falls, surrounded by lush forests and mountain scenery.

Visit Seetha Amman Temple, an important location associated with the Ramayana tradition.

Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Enjoy more time exploring the cool, scenic highlands of Nuwara Eliya.

Start early, around 6:00 AM, with an optional excursion to Horton Plains.

Explore the dramatic landscapes of this highland wilderness, including Baker’s Falls and World’s End, with opportunities to experience the area’s mountain scenery and wildlife.

Later, enjoy the spectacular scenic train journey towards Ella, travelling through green tea plantations and mountain landscapes.

Visit the famous Nine Arch Bridge, also known as the “Bridge in the Sky.”

Overnight: Ella

After breakfast, take on the scenic Ella Rock Hike.

The hike offers panoramic views across Ella’s misty mountains, lush greenery and tea plantations. The itinerary describes the hike as approximately 10 km round trip, taking around 3–5 hours.

Later, discover Secret Falls, a quieter hidden waterfall reached by a short jungle walk.

Overnight: Tissamaharama

After breakfast, enjoy a hike to Little Adam’s Peak, a scenic and relatively easy walk through the hill country and tea plantations.

Continue to Upper Diyaluma Falls, with beautiful mountain views, cascading waterfalls and natural rock pools.

Visit Buduruwagala, an ancient Buddhist site famous for its impressive rock carvings and large standing Buddha statue.

Continue to Tissamaharama for your overnight stay.

Overnight in Tissamaharama

Overnight: Mirissa

Start early, around 5:00–5:30 AM, for a wildlife safari at Yala National Park.

Travel by safari jeep through forests, grasslands and lagoons, with opportunities to see wildlife including elephants, crocodiles, birds and, with luck, leopards.

An optional breakfast package can be arranged for the safari experience.

After the safari, continue towards Mirissa.

Stop at Hummanaya Blowhole, then relax at Mirissa Beach and enjoy the sunset around Coconut Hill.

Overnight: Unawatuna

Start early, around 5:30–6:00 AM, with an optional whale and dolphin watching boat tour from Mirissa. The itinerary notes the whale-watching season as November to April.

After breakfast, continue to Weligama Bay for leisure time.

Experience the famous Dallawella Swing, enjoy the southern coastline and see traditional stilt fishing.
